Duong Thuy Nguyen
(She/Her)
Artist Statement:
My multi-disciplinary practice as an artist, a lecturer, a researcher and a writer. I based in Hanoi with training and a background in fine art and theatre. The foundations of building my work are the collaboration and examination of a common emotional vocabulary. Through research and education-based practice, my work questions the affected stages of society cohesion, community identity and the interaction between human and nature. My work exploring the intersections between contemporary art and social reaction, gender inequality and diaspora visibility are the areas that I want to explore at the moment.
